Memories from Verdie Tappy recorded in 2006 on the occasion of her 100 birthday -- July 2, 2006. Her birthday was observed on Sunday July 2, 2006 at Mount Nebo Lutheran Church in Rochelle, VA. Her father's 100 birthday was also celebrated at Mt. Nebo on his 100th birthday. Verdie Tusing Tappy, 104, died on Thursday, October 7, 2010. A lifelong member of Mount Nebo, she is buried in the church cemetery.
