America’s 250th Anniversary Essay Contest

The Orange County Historical Society, in collaboration with the Orange County Public Schools, recently sponsored an essay contest for students in grades 4, 8, and 12. Winners were celebrated at a reception on May 26^th.  4^th grade winners were Lena Bellas, Melody Esson, and Carl Shelburne.  8^th grade winners were Angelina Rodas Arce, Jaiden Coleman, and Jade Tellez Martinez.  12^th grade winners were Cristal Gutierrez, Hudson Irby, and Jack Bradley.  4^th grade winners received $100 each, 8^th grade winners received $200 each, and12th grade winners received $1000 each.  Congratulations to each winner!
